A Life Journey poem, What where feeling when we are alone.

Day’s Unknown

Sitting along on a Saturday night
Not a sound but a tick of a clock
Winter coming with a howling sound
No heat but a bed and a sock

Lying alone shivering and cold
Looking for someone, who is alone
Where does one go, who will know
Why do we all grow old

Staring, watching a cigarette burn
A match in a tray waiting for flame
An ash something to learn
Maybe we are all to blame

Grasping for that final drink
Lighting up for one last time
Staring while I think
Will life sound like a chime?
